3 New Restaurants Coming to West Midtown

Here are three of many new businesses in the works in West Midtown.

3 New Restaurants Coming to West Midtown
@midtownsocialatl

West Midtown is welcoming three new restaurant concepts this year. Expect a local Atlantan brand expanding, a New Orleans-based whiskey bar, and a new lounge and bar concept from a local restaurateur.

@barrelproofnola

Barrel Proof

a New Orleans-based whiskey bar, is making its way to West Midtown, bringing a selection of over 350 whiskeys and a food menu designed to complement its cocktails.

Led by Robert LeBlanc of LeBlanc + Smith, the bar will open in the former Little Trouble space at 1170 Howell Mill Rd NW. The design will preserve the industrial aesthetic while incorporating modern touches. Barrel Proof aims for a September opening.

@lamixtecatamalehouse

La Mixteca

is set to introduce its tamale-focused menu to West Midtown in early April.

The fast-casual restaurant will serve up to 12 varieties of tamales daily, alongside Oaxacan-inspired dishes like mole. Chef Valentine Hernandez has been searching for the right location for two years and is excited to bring the family-run concept to 1465 Chattahoochee Ave NW.

This marks the brand’s latest expansion following its recent entry into the Buckhead Eats ghost kitchen.

Midtown Social

is gearing up for its West Midtown debut soon. Created by Devon Green, owner of Milk and Honey Atlanta, the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with distinct dining experiences throughout the day.

Breakfast items, all under $10, will be available from 6 to 11 a.m., followed by lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Dinner, featuring elevated American cuisine like lamb chops, steaks, and salmon, will be reservation-only from 5 to 10 p.m., with later hours on weekends as the space transforms into a cocktail bar. Located at 1740 Marietta Blvd NW, Midtown Social will offer 48 indoor seats and a 40-seat patio.
